Disney Website Schedule Fail

Look at the following schedule. Based on it, when would you expect the “Extra Magic Hours” to be for October 7th?

Disney Extra Magic Hours Fail

So, again, the question. If you went to the park on Saturday (October 6th), would you expect to be able to stay at the park until 3am on Sunday (10/7) or would you expect to go to the park on Sunday (October 7th) and stay until 3am on Monday (10/8)?

I’ll let that question loom a bit.

Based on the title of this post, you probably guessed the answer.

The “Extra Magic Hours” are Sunday to Monday, not Saturday to Sunday. In what world does this schedule make sense? This is the Disney World website… 12am to 3am on Sunday is “Saturday night.”  I guess in Disney World 2am is actually night time of the previous day. Unreal.

The ordering of the times is a huge fail. Notice how 12am – 3am on Sunday comes RIGHT AFTER the 8am to 12am on Saturday?

I don’t get it.

Here’s the best part of the story. When we asked about it (spoke to a guy back at our hotel), we were basically told that we were “stupid” (in so many words) and that we are the only ones to think that 12am – 3am on Sunday would be right after Saturday. Really? What do you think?

Anyway, the moral of the story is that with Disney, throw logic out the window.

This is a huge website fail.

It still would have been dumb, but one way to rectify this schedule is to move the 12am – 3am on the October 7th AFTER the 8am – 12am instead. That would have at least shown that the intent was to have the Extra Magic Hours on Monday morning.
